From the Event Organizer

A night of Motown has never been at an intimate plant shop like this. Featuring a Live Solo Tribute from Barry Fontenot. Hear your favorite songs from The Supremes, Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cook, The Temptations, and many more. Barry And The Fountains is an eclectic Alternative Soul act with Deep Soul roots, a distinct literary voice, and a haunting, subtle edge. Brought together in 2017 by Barry Jean Fontenot, a Louisiana-born singer-songwriter and community organizer, the group quickly became a fixture of the Chicago DIY scene, and developed a reputation for their raw, soulful sound, calling to mind such artists as Charles Bradley and Otis Redding, as well as the calm boldness of their lyrical style.
