From the Event Organizer

Sa’ Rayah, the artist, producer, and singer, is a Chicago native who began singing in church at five. She was introduced to the world in 2016 on Season 11 of NBC’s hit show The Voice in a powerful blind audition performance of “Drown In My Own Tears,” garnering a double chair turn by Grammy award winners Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. Her powerful ability to blend the blues, rock, and soul launched her to the #1 position on the iTunes blues charts Sa’ Rayah released her debut EP, “In My Feelings,” in the fall of 2020 and is currently an audience favorite with the Chicago Catz Band. She enjoys writing, producing and, spending time with her daughter and family when she isn’t dazzling audiences. Chicago native Chris Miskel is a highly sought professional drummer and Kendre’ Music founder. As the Music Director and drummer for fellow Chicagoan Brian Culbertson, Chris manages the overall direction of instrumental music. As a professional drummer, he has toured with Nick Colionne, Noel Gourdin, Will Downing, David Sanborn, and a host of other jazz, gospel, pop and rhythm, and blues artists. His mission for creating the band Kendre’ Music is to provide opportunities for touring musicians and vocalists while at home and to create exposure for the next generation of award-winning artists from Chicago. When not traveling, he spends time with his wife and children. This powerful collaboration with Kendre’ and Sa’Rayah will deliver soulful and lively performance across multiple genres.
