(CHICAGO IL) Bronzeville the historic heart of African American culture in Chicago is excited to extend a warm invitation to members of the media and beyond to join us for our 2024 Juneteenth Celebration: Unity Rising deemed the largest celebration in Bronzeville "Celebrating Freedom Heritage and Community  Empowerment” hosted by The Black Star Project My Block My Hood My City The Bud Billiken Parade The Defender Charities IL State Representative Kam Buckners Office and The Absolutely Anything Essential Gift Shop promises to be a vibrant and inspiring gathering that honors our shared history while looking towards a brighter future.

 

For the 4th year this family friendly event is not just a commemoration; it's a testament to the resilience and strength of our community. As we come together to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Bronzeville we invite the media local residents and tourists alike to capture and share the stories of unity hope and empowerment that define this event adorning the historic corridor of 35th and Dr. Martin King Drive through the Phillip Jackson Parkway on Saturday June 15 2024 from 11 am to 5 pm.
